In order to do so the belt material would need to withstand the cleaning solutions used and at the same time retain surface integrity for lifetime and hygiene purposes.

In order to solve these issues Habasit Australia turned to the Habasit Cleandrive™ range of belts and took it a step further by supplying the client a CIP (Clean in Place) system. A total of 100 square metres of Blue Habasit Cleandrive™ 2 inch positive drive was supplied for four conveyors, along with four CIP systems currently being installed.
“I am very satisfied with the Habasit Cleandrive™ product performance supplied by Habasit Australia. We have improved throughput and decreased product loss”
B & E Foods
Habasit Cleandrive™ belts are manufactured using premium TPU, which features superior abrasion resistance and hydrolysis resistance, and is inherently resistant to microbiological attack. The belt is designed to withstand the most aggressive cleaning protocols and chemical agents, and to operate in a wide temperature spectrum: from low-temperature freezer in-feeds to high-temperature fryer out-feeds.

The new HyCLEAN CIP system has been developed to satisfy the need for a modular, customized, economical automatic cleaning system for the complete and reliable sanitation of belts in hygiene-sensitive food processes.
The following benefits were seen by the client:- The previous belt suffered lateral curvature from cleaning chemicals, resulting in product loss from belt edge. This is no longer an issue, with improved throughput and no chemical effects.
- Cleanability and hygiene has improved due to the smoother surface on the Habasit Cleandrive™ belts.
- The integrated CIP system reduces daily cleaning times.
- The customer is very satisfied with Habasit’s Cleandrive™ performance, and they intend to schedule further upgrades of several incline conveyors.
